By the Numbers:
- Gee Started and gave up 1 hit, 2 walks, and 5 strikeouts over 4 innings. He had to come out due to the rain delay.
- Angel Pagan had 2 hits including a 2 run homer that was helped by the gushing winds at Turner Field.
- Jason Bay had 2 hits today. A step in the right direction!
- Jose Reyes had a hit and an RBI groundout.
- Ruben Tejada had an RBI on an error in the first.
- Carrasco and Parnell each pitched 2 innings, Parnell struck out 5 batters out of 6 outs total.
- K-Rod got another game finished pitching the 9th.
I felt awful for Gee this start, he looked great and was one inning away from a win. However, he still was great letting up only 1 hit over 4 innings. He was himself again and deserved a win, oh well.
Angel Pagan hit such a high homer tonight that would probably have not gone out if the wind was not swirling, good job anyways.
The bullpen dazzled tonight going 5 shutout innings. Parnell stood out the most because he had been struggling the most and he struck out 5 batters in 2 innings.
Jason Bay was great with his 2 hits tonight, could get him back on track…maybe.
