3 Standout Performances:
- David Wright broke out of a long slump going 3 for 6 with 2 homers and 5 RBIs.
- Lucas Duda went 4 for 5 with an RBI and 3 runs scored.
- Jose Reyes went 3 for 5 and is now hitting .334.
Chris Capuano settled down after a rough start to his night giving up 2 runs in the first 2 innings and then baring down to go 5 solid innings and ultimately get the job done.
The Mets bullpen was solid tonight going 4 innings and letting up 0 hits and 1 walk in the night.
Although he has not hit as much as we want him too, Jason Bay has been a solid defender as he showed tonight robbing a homer from Alex Gonzalez. I don’t feel any hatred for Jason Bay.
Of course the day where the Mets get a huge win and blowout the Braves, the help the Phillies clinch the division…an incredibly bittersweet win tonight.
