Ike Davis is still struggling. There is no going around it but something needs to change if he is to get things together and to be successful in the big leagues. In order for Ike to get things right, he needs to hit 2nd in the lineup. Hitting 2nd puts Ike right in front of David Wright. This will get him good pitches to hit and less breaking balls because guys don’t want to walk him to get to David. Batting in front of Thole, pitchers pitch him to get him out. If he is in front of Wright, pitchers will throw to him like they don’t want to throw to Wright with guys on base. This could help Ike get his season, and potentially his career back on track.
