I thought we could try a double post game in honor of tonights double header.
The Numbers: (Game 1)
- In game 1, David Wright hit a 2 run homer and Lucas Duda hit a solo shot off of Gallardo.
- The Mets were down 6-0 in Game 1 and led 7-6 at one point.
- Jose Reyes went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles and a triple.
- Jon Niese pitched badly going 2 1/3 and letting up 6 runs.
That’s sad that Niese’s year ended that way…hope to see him excel in 2011.
It was good to see David Wright get to 100 RBIs on the year…good milestone for him.
Ike is red hot this september.
Grade for the Game: B-
The Numbers: (Game 2)
- Jose Reyes, Angel Pagan, and R.A. Dickey had all 5 Met hits tonight.
- Ike Davis drove in the only run on a sac fly.
- Dickey went 6 innings and gave up a run while striking out 4
- Feliciano went 0 innings and gave up 2 runs.
- Green and Valdes finished the night for the Mets.
I wish RA Dickey would have had a win in his final start. He certainly deserved one.
So they can hit against Gallardo but no Bush….that makes no sense whatsoever.
Well they have to sweep the Nats to finish .500
Grade for the Game: D
